Kes\u00e4ll\u00e4 \u00c4\u00e4nisen rantakatu oli melko vilkas k\u00e4velij\u00f6iden, lenkkeilij\u00f6iden, py\u00f6r\u00e4ilij\u00f6iden, rullaluistelijoiden ja potkulautailijoiden ansiosta, kadun varrella kuntoilijoille on my\u00f6s suuri m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 vapaasti k\u00e4ytett\u00e4vi\u00e4 kuntosalilaitteita. Helmikuussa t\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 pidet\u00e4\u00e4n kansainv\u00e4linen Hyperborea-festivaali, jonka puitteissa j\u00e4rjestet\u00e4\u00e4n mm. j\u00e4\u00e4nveisto- ja lumenveistokilpailut. V\u00e4rikk\u00e4\u00e4sti valaistuja j\u00e4\u00e4veistoksia kannattaa tulla ihailemaan rantakadulle erityisesti pime\u00e4n aikaan.<\/p>\n<p>Petroskoin vetomoimaisia kulttuurikohteita ovat Musiikkiteatteri, Kansallinen teatteri, Luova paja -teatteri, Nukketeatteri, Karjalan valtionfilharmonia, erilaiset museot ja n\u00e4yttelysalit.<\/p>\n<p>Museoita Karjalan Tasavallassa on moneen l\u00e4ht\u00f6\u00f6n: Karjalan Tasavallan Kansallinen museo, Karjalan Tasavallan kuvataidemuseo, Kizhin historiallis-arkkitehtuurinen ja etnografinen museo yms.<br \/>\nKansallisen museon kokoelmiin kuuluu mm. kansatieteellist\u00e4, luonnontieteellist\u00e4 sek\u00e4 kulttuurihistoriallista esineist\u00f6\u00e4, arkeologisia l\u00f6yt\u00f6j\u00e4, kansanrunouden kokoelmia. Lapsille on suunnattu vuorovaikutteinen n\u00e4yttely, jossa voi k\u00f6mpi\u00e4 p\u00e4iv\u00e4unille karhun pes\u00e4\u00e4n, k\u00e4yd\u00e4 majavan padolla jne.<br \/>\nKarjalan Tasavallan kuvataidemuseossa esill\u00e4 on mm. kokoelma muinaisven\u00e4l\u00e4isi\u00e4 ikoneja, karjalaista k\u00e4sity\u00f6perinnett\u00e4, 1700-1900-lukujen ven\u00e4l\u00e4ist\u00e4 taidetta, Se on Euroopan toiseksi korkein tasankoseudun koski, jonka tuntumaan on perustettu samanniminen luonnonpuisto.<br \/>\nKivatsun luokse on helppo p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 ymp\u00e4ri vuoden, sill\u00e4 kohteelle on rakennettu hyvin kunnossapidetty polku. Alueella toimii Kivatsun museo.
